Redentore Feast

The Feast of the Redeemer is a traditional feast of Venice, celebrated on the third Saturday of July, marking the end of the plague that struck the city from 1575-1577..
In addition to its religious character, the feast is remembered for a great fireworks display held on the night between Saturday and Sunday on St. Mark’s Basin, and for the three regattas of typical Venetian boats organised on the next day, attracting a large public from all over the world.
